CONCAST iTube&Pipe Check V1

This Inventor AddOn supports designers in they're daily business working with Tube&Pipe Assemblies with Inventor.

What is CONCAST iTube&Pipe for ?

CONCAST iTube&Pipe checks Tube&Pipe components for valid dimensions, actualizes User-Properties and the BOM-Structure in Inventor Assembly Documents and further on it gives you a overview of:
General Usage:
To check your Inventor Assembly Document press the 'Start Tube&Pipe Check'. The Application creates a list of all Flexible Hose Assemblies. Each entry shows you:
  • a prefix C, M or T
  • the calculated Hose length
  • the Tube&Pipe Assembly file name

What is the Prefix for:
If a entry's prefix is 'C' it is marked in GREEN. This means that the calculated Hose length is correct. Correct means that the calculated Hose length is matching the value of the User-Property 'MMRefL' in a range of +2% or the calculated Hose length matches the given table value in a range of +2%. The table values for valid Hoses lengths are defined as follows: A prefix of 'M' or 'T' marks the text in RED and means that the calculated Hose length is incorrect. 'M' tells you that the User-Property 'MMRefL' is available - but the calculated Hose length does not match it's value in a range of +2%. 'T' tells you that the User-Property 'MMRefL' is not available, the value of 'MMRefL' is not a number (e.g. 'ABC' or so) or the calculated Hose length does not match the table value in a range of +2%.

The main Assembly displays all Hoses with incorrect length in RED Client-Graphics (as long as the Application is running)

If you select one of the list entries the corresponding element in your Assembly is selected and the 'Open selected' Button is visible. Press the 'Open selected' Button to open the Tube&Pipe Assembly in Inventor directly. This saves you time - you do not have to search for it in your Inventor Project folder.
User-Properties Flexible Hoses:
Every time you run the Application it calculates the total length for Flexible Hose Assemblies and writes/updates the User-Property 'VSI_SIZE1'. This User-Property contains the calculated length value. The application also updates the Property 'Part Number' by the value of the User-Property 'MATNR'.

User-Properties Tubes:
For Tube Elements the application updates the Property 'Part Number' by the value of the User-Property 'MATNR'. Further on the Property 'Description' and the User-Property 'DESCRIPTION' are updated by the value of the User-Property 'RS-Description'. The User-Property 'VSI_SIZE1' get's the Value of the User-Property 'L' (without mm).

BOM Structure:
Every time you run the Application it checks all the single elements (Assemblies and Parts) in Tube&Pipe Assemblies and sets the BOM Structure to 'Normal', 'Purchased' or 'Phantom' (depending on type of Assembly/Part).
